What is the most interesting thing that has happened or you’ve done in your lifetime?
Served as a volunteer driver/engingeer for Hillsborough County Fire/Rescue. There is nothing like the experience of responding to a distress call. Lights flashing, sirens blaring and everyone getting out of your way. I've pulled bodies from cars, people from fires and assisted countless with medical distress. It was an unpaid position that was purely about helping those in need. My experiences with HCFR opened my eyes to being active in the community. That drew me to this group.

As a member, media relations representative, event chair and board member, it has been a privilege to call the 13 Ugly Men members my friends.

What are you most proud of?
My family. I am grateful to go home every night and hang with them. I never thought I would be the type of person who looks forward to staying in on weekend night, playing games with the kids or watching movies with my wife, but here I am.

What have you brought to the table for the 13UM Foundation?

Grey hair. . . Oh, I thought you asked what the 13 Ugly Men has brought me.

With assistance from many members, we formed a unified and cohesive board of directors that ushered in a new era of productivity, structure and sense of purpose. We are now watching some of our younger, more energetic members move to the front line and take over. The excitement of being a member grows with each new era of progress.
